About the Trainer, Mentor and Author, Dame Anne-Marie Delmotte

Dame Anne-Marie Delmotte holds an Associate's Degree in Clinical Chemistry and works as a scientist for the Belgian government. She began her career at the Belgian Red Cross conducting white blood cell group typing, later carried out DNA research at a University Hematology-Immunology unit, and worked for a private Belgian laboratory recognised as a reference laboratory for autoimmune disease testing, as well as for a German company specialising in blood coagulation testing instruments. In 2018 she was made a Knight in the Leopold Order by the King of Belgium for her work at a Belgian Ministry. The work she does for the Ministry at which she is currently on a very long career break is completely separate from her own Lecher Antenna activities and research.

Her interest in the Lecher antenna began from a lifelong sensitivity to energy and a scientist's need to measure and verify what she was sensing rather than take it on faith. She acquired her own instrument in 2008 and trained through a non-profit organisation in Belgium, later deepening her knowledge through further training in Belgium and other countries and through direct contact with medical doctors who had used/use the Lecher antenna in their own practice for decades. Her field research includes measurements at Chartres Cathedral and mainly at megalithic sites across Ireland and France. She has published 14 books in which the Lecher antenna is the central subject.

Origins: From a physics laboratory to a hand-held instrument

The Lecher antenna did not start out as a dowsing tool. It has its roots in nineteenth-century high-frequency physics.

The Lecher antenna is built on the work of Austrian physicist Ernst Lecher (1856–1926), a pioneer in the measurement of high-frequency waves and, later, a colleague of Einstein.

In 1890, Ernst Lecher demonstrated that "the velocity of the electromagnetic wave which is spread in metal wires is substantially equal to that of light in a vacuum" ( Dictionary of physics - JP. Sarmant – Edition Hachette).

The Lecher wires are the precursor of the Lecher antenna: an electrical line formed by two long straight, parallel metallic conductors and short-circuited by a movable bridge that determines the different wavelengths.

In the Lecher technique, a generator-transmitter maintains electrical oscillations of high frequency at one end, the other end being closed on an adjustable impedance. "The existence of stationary waves is detected by a metal bridge (cursor) sliding on the two wires and carrying an incandescent lamp that lights up at the maximum of the loop current” ( Dictionary of physics - JP Mathieu, A Kastler, P.Fleury – Edition Massons-Eyrolles).

That laboratory apparatus was later adapted — notably by physicist Reinhard Schneider — into a lightweight, hand-held instrument sensitive enough to register very low-intensity fields. This further adapted version is the Lecher antenna used in Geobiology and Bioenergetics today: the same principle of tuned, parallel wires, scaled down and carried in both hands rather than bolted to a bench.

The Lecher antenna measures the electromagnetic radiation that surrounds us that emanates from all living organisms or our environment.

It consists of two closed Lecher wires that are looped at one end and connected by a mobile cursor at the other end. This cursor allows you to select wavelength markers on a ruler and works according to the same function as the set button of a radio receiver.

The adjustable loop being closed; the setting on the ruler of the electromagnetic radiation induces Foucault currents inside making the instrument sensitive to Laplace forces: electromagnetic energy is then converted into a mechanical effect which is translated into a tension felt in the hands of the user and makes the antenna dip.

In Layman terms, when the Lecher antenna comes into a resonant signal between what it is set to and what is present, the user will feel that the antenna is starting to move. It’s as if it is coming into a wall of that specific energy which makes the upper part (ruler and Lecher wires) want to dip.

In plain terms: it is tuned like a radio dial, and it signals a match through the hands by resonance rather than a speaker.

1. Two Lecher wires, one cursor

The instrument consists of two metallic wires that are connected by a movable cursor that slides along a graduated ruler.

2. Tuning to a wavelength (or frequency)

Moving the cursor along the ruler selects a wavelength marker, in much the same way the tuning dial of a radio receiver is used to select a frequency. Please keep in mind that the numbers on the ruler are often inverted and don’t correspond to a wavelength. A simple formula is used to determine the exact wavelength and frequency.

3. Reading the signal

When the setting matches the energy present, the antenna signals it through the hands rather than through a display. In most cases this is felt as a slight tremble. With a stronger energy, that tremble can build into a clearer vibration, and with very strong energies the antenna can move continuously back and forth rather than settling into a steady signal.

When a resonant signal is found, the upper part of the instrument — the ruler and the Lecher wires — dips towards the user. This direction matters: for certain measurements, a dip away from the user allows for additional, different information. Reading the direction of the dip correctly, not just noticing that a signal is present, is part of using the instrument accurately.

Importantly, the Lecher antenna is a scientific instrument, and its movement is not dependent on any muscle tension from the user. It works through resonance: the antenna responds to a match between its setting and the energy present, not to a conscious or unconscious physical action by the person holding it.

What the Lecher antenna is used for

Two main fields of practice: reading the energies of a place, and reading the energies of a person — and, as one of the case studies below shows, sometimes the two intertwine.

Geobiology / Geobiodynamics — reading the energies of the earth

Geobiology is the study of how a specific location — the earth beneath a home, a garden, a field, or an Ancient Site — affects everything that lives on it, human, animal or plant. The Lecher antenna is used to locate Leylines and disruptive Earth energies (Geopathic Stress), including at Megalithic Sites, Holy Wells, labyrinths, churches and cathedrals, and to evaluate corrections that clear a space of them.

Correction of Geopathic Stress can range from something as simple as moving a bed, to applying the Ancient Knowledge of the Builders of the Megalithic Monuments, as discovered and taught by Anne-Marie Delmotte through her own research at Neolithic Sites.

A practical example taught as videos in the Geobiology course: measuring a bed for Geopathic Stress at the level of the bedroom itself — without having to move the furniture. This matters because the Earth's energy grids do not project straight upward through a building floor by floor; a line detected at ground level is not at the same spot one or two storeys up. To get an accurate reading, the measurement has to be taken at the actual floor level the bed is on, not inferred from a reading taken elsewhere in the building.

Case — a bed and a slow recovery: After a hospital stay that wasn't going well, a reading of the bed found it sitting directly over a crossing of Earth energies — a Geopathic Stress zone. Moving the bed slightly, so the person was no longer lying over the crossing of certain energies, was followed by a marked improvement in recovery.

Case — recurring tooth and facial pain traced to the bedroom: A recurring, unexplained pain on one side of a patient's face and throat — investigated repeatedly by doctors and specialists with no clear findings — was eventually linked to severe Geopathic Stress affecting exactly that side of the patient’s body while the person slept. Reliable, stable settings — why is it important

The instrument is only as trustworthy as the settings it is used with.

A Lecher antenna reading is only meaningful if the wavelength setting used for a given energy is correct, consistent and repeatable. Settings that drift or have not been properly researched for repeatability and reproducibility lead to unreliable readings, which matters most in Geobiology, where correctly identifying the exact type and location of Geopathic Stress is the entire point of the exercise.

These are the values confirmed through years of consistent field use and Lecher antennas with an inverted ruler of 20.05 centimeters which is the case for most Lecher antennas currently available to acquire, and they are worth knowing because inaccurate settings for these same energies are circulating found upon researching on the internet, something which could harm this very precious and useful instrument’s reputation, not to speak of finding no results or the wrong ones. Working from tested, stable settings — rather than figures picked up secondhand — is what allows a reading to actually be trusted.

Over the years, more than 7000 Lecher antenna settings have been confided to Anne-Marie Delmotte. Research & publications: Fieldwork at Ancient Sites
